Does any body know if the Weber 32/36 and 34 ADM carbs have the same manifold stud pattern? Looking at adapter plates to a cain 350 Holley manifold.
Thanks

ok guys, heres the story.. my ute was running yesterday, i let it warm up, then pulled the rocker cover off to adjust the rockers, the way i did it was to get each piston on tdc on the compression stroke, then tighten the nut until the pushrod stopped spinning, then went 3/4 turn more.
now the bloddy thing wont start, i put a new battery in at the same time as doing this, the battery is a 480cca, now the engine winds over pretty quick, almost sounds as if there are no plugs in it i.e no compression?? have i done something wrong in adjusting the valves? tried to adjust them cold again this arvo using the same method and had the same outcome. im left scratching my head. any help is appreciated, by the way the engine is a 179

JUST WONDERING DOES ANY 1 HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT WHEELS WOULD LOOK GOOD ON THE EH (OLD SKOOL MAGS OR WHITE WALLS).

I just pulled the keybarrel from my HZ ute. (left) On the right is one that I purchased from an auction site here in NZ, that stated it was from a HZ.
Was there 2 different types installed in HZ's?

On the weekend I started the old girl up for the first time in 13 years. Got her started no worries! But, the contraption pictured was leaking petrol on the engine. My workshop manual didn’t have any info. So can anyone help with; What is it? What could be wrong with it? How should I go about fixing it? I’ve already done the usual thing of taking it apart and then putting it back together but that made no difference!
Cheers

I thought I would tune up the eh so I did the usual stuff and noticed that the black wire on my distributor was just about to break so I pulled out the dizzy and repaired it. I put the dizzy in BUT it was 180o out and it backfired so I moved the dizzy to its correct position and guess what I did? Well when it backfired it blew the head gasket! spewing.. I think it must of been on its last legs. I feel like a dill. Anyhow Ive got some bits for sale so I can repair my baby.Regards Dave. http://cgi.ebay.com....

HI All, can anyone help, yesterday driving my 66 HR, after about 30 mins i noticed a smell coming from the engine. it almost smelt like sewage or sulfur [rotten eggs].
I have no idea what has caused it and then this morning the car would not start. Has something burnt out??? my first thought was maybe something to do with old water in the radiator??
any help is appreciated

I recently searched for methods of replacing the linkage accelerator setup for a cable setup. 68HKPREM mentioned on a post (http://oldholden.com...) that a Redline cable kit was available using the standard pedal. Has anyone else done this conversion and if so do they have photographs of the setup, or the Redline kit number.
Cheers Craig
