G'day all.
I was wondering if anyone knew what the fattest rims you could put on a standard HR sedan on the rear and on the front without them scrubbing? i was thinking that i might get away with 7"? and if anyone is runing 15" rims and tyres and if they look any good? any photos of this or any advise it would be wicked.

hi people i have just bought a hr holden ute with a 186 engine and a 2 speed powerglide just wondering if any one can tell me how many of these were made(with the 186 and 2 speed auto in it) also i do have to original boooks from when the guy ordered it and it does say it is auto and the car is still all original.. thanks in advance to anyone that can help

HI All, i am just about to purchase some indicator housings to clip into the front of the engine bay of my HR.

Does anyone have a picture of a set installed so i can see how it should look etc??

Ive scored a 5 speed box with a hadfield bellhousing to suit a holden 6 and now i just need to know what other parts i need to put into my HR. I already have a four on the floor so yeah and does any one have a shifter? did they come out with bench seat shifters? what yoke do i use to connect the box to the tailshaft?
Also i bought a hr front end with ht etc discs and stud pattern. How would i go about converting this to commodore stud pattern as i have a vl diff for the rear and want commie pattern all round

been having some problems getting hands on replacment drums for a HR wagon. Just seeing if anyone has done a drum to disc covertion and has a list of parts i need to get for it, ie master cylinders etc thanks

my powerglide is giving me the [Naughty Pottyword]s with constant leaks and lack of gears

im wanting to stay column shift so ive thought about changing to a 3 speed manual

is it easy to put an all synchro 3 speed into a HR?

Hey all, I am restoring a HR holden been at it a few years and am finaly nearing completion. Am trying to work out what to do engine wise. I have a 161, 202, and a 186. the 161 and 202 (red) are both standard. the 186 is a 179 hp block bored to 186 and has flat top pistons (don't know what cam) . I have a yella terra head - 202 stage 3 (low compression i think). and a set of triple su's. So my question is this. should i go with the 202 or 186 as a base, 30/70 cam?, high volume oil pump?

My new Lokar throttle pedal and cable has been sitting in the shed for the last two months just waiting to go in.
So the other day I decided it was time, If any one is interested in the conversion have a look in my shed or fire me an email.
Its the expensive option but I think it looks and functions more nicely than other cable conversions.

Hey everyone, got my brakes done by a mechanic that it thought knew what he was doing but he was managed to over machine the front drums. I need two front drums and just wondering where i could get my hands on them. Help the old boy is up on jacks at the new mechanics.

ive got probs with my 350 holly it start n revs but then it dies ive took it apart 2 tym made it beter cos wouldnt really idlie b4 but now it does! but stil cant drive it cos it runs out of fuel or almost then comes good again ant ideas?

Looking for some help with an HR front end that I bought for my EH

The front end in question is out of a race car and was in a crash before I got it
In the crash the lower control arm took a hit and now the control arm shaft is bent

I don't have a photo because my camera has crapped out (time to get a new one)
Can anyone help me with some instructions on removing and replacing this shaft?
I'm not sure you can even replace it

Finished the supercharging project on my HR ute so had to you you guys the end product and boy does it go ! still a few bugs to iron out but so far very happy.
Hy-po as you can see went the ARP head studs with a decomp plate and ACL race gaskets either side torqued to 85 lbs then to 90 lbs after running to temp and let cool down overnight, so far so good.

Does anybody have a copy of the 48-HR master parts catalogue, Im chasing the trim code info from the front of the book if someone can scan it for me email is below

The names azza, im in vitoria currently projecting a 1968 Holden HR, everything is dead original and in great condition execpt for some minor rust whcih is no worries! IM cutting all that out and bringing her back to glory! Runing a stock 186 3spd column, but soon ill be droppin a stinging hot 186 in with some better gear behind her!
Ive cut all the old floor out abnd put in a whole new floor.
All new carpet in, a set or US RACING MAGS, they reqired some tlc in the inner rear guards but they dont scrap now.
Had a full re spray recently, and plenty more work done!

Always up for a chat about the old cars, i love em!
If anyone has or knows of anyone with HR Knowledge and spare parts please pass on my details!

Got a HR wagon, that doesnt have a bench seat. Just wondering if anyone or knows someone that has one and is will to part with it, condition is not important. Even some information on wrechers in the Sydney area or where ever that you guys have had luck with in the past.

I've got a tricky question about HR premier trim.

Did all HR premiers have wood grain trim? I'd like a horn button with the big horn ring but in silver like the standard HR trim you see.
The only ones I've seen are with a wood grain button.
Does any one know if such a thing exists? If so does any one have one they would like to sell me?

Are there sample paint colours around for the HR? I have looked at the Holdenpaedia and found the codes. My compliance plate states "8591" - Lurline Blue, but the car has been resprayed. Can anyone show me "Lurline Blue" or any other original colour swatches, true to name?
